My "reading list" is more like a list of reading lists which consist of a patchwork of some of my interests. The first is a set of texts from class I would like to spend more time reading and thinking about. The second is a partial list of theoretical texts which are relevant to media theory and which I desperately feel like I need to read. When it comes to theory, I feel like the Dutch boy at the dam, trying to plug up the holes as fast as I can before the dam bursts and I am swept away. The third list consists of a good portion of Don DeLillo’s texts. Another member and I are toying with developing a "dream class" which would use DeLillo to demonstrate and engage with issues from media theory.
